I'm Samirah, founder of Bodi by Samirah—a luxury botanical skincare and wellness brand created from a simple belief:
What we put on our skin matters.
Like many people, my journey began with making products for myself and my family. What started as a creative hobby quickly became something much more meaningful as I began learning about the ingredients commonly found in everyday skincare products and the impact they can have on our bodies.
When my daughter was born, that curiosity turned into purpose. I wanted products made with ingredients I could recognize, trust, and feel confident using on the people I love most. I began researching botanical oils, butters, herbs, clays, and essential oils, creating handcrafted products designed to nourish even the most sensitive skin.
Over the years, Bodi by Samirah has continued to grow, but the heart behind the brand has never changed.
Every soap, serum, body polish, candle, and handcrafted product begins with one question:
Would I confidently use this on my own family?
If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't become part of the collection.
What began in my kitchen has grown into Bodi by Samirah—a brand built on intentional ingredients, thoughtful craftsmanship, and the belief that self-care should never require compromising your values.

I'm happily married and blessed with two amazing children who inspire me every single day.
Siblings?
I'm the oldest of four—and yes, I definitely embrace the big sister role!
Introvert or extrovert?
Definitely an extrovert...until my social battery runs out! Then you'll find me recharging with a walk, a DIY project, or some quiet time at home.
Top three hobbies?
Creating, walking, and traveling.
Favorite place to visit?
Trinidad and Tobago will always have my heart.
Do you collect anything?
Beautiful home décor. I probably don't need another decorative tray...but I'll probably buy one anyway!
Sports fan?
I'd much rather play sports than watch them, but I grew up in a football-loving household, so cheering for the hometown team was practically a family tradition.
Favorite food?
Curry chicken with fresh paratha (buss up shut) roti.
Biggest pet peeve?
The sound of shoes dragging across the floor or flip-flops slapping the ground. I can't explain it—it just gets me every time!
Phone call or text?
Both have their place. Sometimes a quick text is perfect, and sometimes nothing beats hearing someone's voice.
Dream vacation?
Visiting all of the Wonders of the World.
Favorite quote?
"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."
What matters most to you?
My faith, my family, and living a life that leaves people better than I found them.
Favorite movie?
Disney movies are always a favorite in our house, but if I had to choose one from my childhood, it would definitely be the Bollywood classic Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Teleportation! I spend so much time commuting that I'd love to instantly be wherever I need to go.
What's your favorite Bodi by Samirah product?
That's like asking me to choose a favorite child! 😊 Right now, I'm loving the Hair Repair Serum, but honestly...my favorite changes depending on the season.
What do you want to be remembered for?
Kindness.
I hope people remember how I made them feel. Whether we're talking skincare, henna, or everyday life, I want everyone who crosses my path to feel seen, valued, and a little more special than they did before we met.
